- Perth metro, north and south of the river
Aus Gutters is a local gutter team working both sides of the Swan River. We repair, clean, replace and install gutters and downpipes, fit gutter guards and take on roof plumbing across the Perth metro area: from Joondalup and Wanneroo in the north to Fremantle, Cockburn and Kwinana in the south, and from Scarborough and Cottesloe on the coast out to Kalamunda, Mundaring and the Swan Valley. Tell us your suburb and what is wrong, and you get a free quote before any work starts.
We take on homes and commercial buildings alike. The call-outs we see most are gutters overflowing back under the eaves in a winter front, a leak marking a ceiling, and runoff pooling against the footings where a downpipe has come adrift. We buy from Perth roofing suppliers, so matching Colorbond and zincalume sections, brackets and downpipes are usually on hand and an urgent leak is not left waiting on parts. For a new build, extension or shop fit-out we install new gutters and downpipes, sized to the Australian stormwater standard so the roof drains the way your council expects.

Services
Gutter services in every suburb
The same six services are available wherever you are in Perth. Pick one to see what is included and what is quoted separately.

Gutter cleaning
Leaves, sand, sludge and nests cleared and downpipes flushed, before the winter rain finds the blockage for you.

Gutter repair
Leaking joints, rust holes, sagging runs and broken downpipes fixed, or one bad section replaced instead of the lot.

Gutter replacement
Old guttering off and new Colorbond or zincalume runs on, once rust and sag have spread past the point of patching.

Gutter installation
New gutters and downpipes for homes, extensions, patios and sheds, matched to your roof and connected to stormwater.

Gutter guards
Leaf guard mesh fitted over your existing gutters so leaves, sticks and nests stay out and you clean less.

Roof plumbing
Roof leaks traced to the source and fixed: flashings, valleys, box gutters, downpipes and stormwater connections.
So which parts of Perth do we cover, exactly?
Last updated
Perth gutters all face the same year. Most of the rain arrives between June and August in fronts off the Indian Ocean, usually after months of dry weather in which sand, leaf litter and the odd tennis ball have settled in the gutters. The first heavy front finds every blockage, rusted joint and loose downpipe, which is why our call-outs bunch up in the first wet weeks.
What differs from suburb to suburb is the roof, the trees and the air. Tile or tin, a 1970s brick-and-tile in Duncraig or a Federation cottage in Victoria Park, gum trees over the roof or Norfolk pines and salt spray off the beach: each changes what goes wrong and how we fix it.
At the Bureau of Meteorology's Perth Metro station, average rainfall is about 718 mm a year, and June, July and August bring 399 mm of it, more than half, while December to February brings about 38 mm in total (station records 1993 to 2026). See the Bureau of Meteorology's climate statistics for Perth.
Northern suburbs
North of the river takes in Joondalup, Wanneroo, Duncraig, Morley, Dianella, Ballajura and the City of Stirling suburbs behind Scarborough. Much of it was built from the 1960s to the 1990s on sand, so the roofs are mostly brick and tile with steel gutters, often the original zincalume, under established gum trees and jacarandas. The usual jobs are rusted joints, sagging runs where the brackets have let go, and downpipes packed with leaf litter and sand. Duncraig, Joondalup and Morley each have their own page.
Southern and eastern suburbs
South of the river we work Victoria Park, South Perth, Como, Canning Vale, Willetton, Thornlie, Gosnells and Armadale, then down through Melville, Bibra Lake, Cockburn and Kwinana. To the east, the flats of Belmont, Bassendean and the Swan Valley run up to the Darling Scarp at Kalamunda and Mundaring. The hills generally catch more rain than the coastal plain and sit under jarrah and marri, so gutters there fill fast. Closer in, Victoria Park's Federation and inter-war homes bring fascia and flashing work along with the gutters.
Western suburbs and the coast
Floreat, Subiaco, Nedlands, Claremont, Cottesloe, Peppermint Grove, Mosman Park and Fremantle sit between the river and the surf. Salt spray shortens the life of unpainted steel within a few streets of the beach, so we usually recommend a marine-grade Colorbond finish there and check the fixings, not just the gutter, for corrosion. Norfolk pines and tuarts drop needles and bark that pack tight in gutters and gutter guards alike. Floreat has its own page.
FAQs
Service area questions
Not sure whether your suburb is covered? Call and ask. There is no charge for a quote.
Which Perth suburbs do you cover?
The whole Perth metropolitan area, on both sides of the river, from Wanneroo and Joondalup in the north to Armadale, Cockburn and Kwinana in the south. The list on this page is a guide, not a boundary. Tell us your suburb when you ask for a quote.
Do you work south of the river as well as north?
Yes. Our team works both sides of the Swan River. Four of the suburb pages (Duncraig, Joondalup, Morley and Floreat) sit north of the river and Victoria Park sits south, and every service is available in all of them and in the suburbs between.
Do you travel outside the Perth metro area?
Our regular area is the Perth metro. For Mandurah, Rockingham, Yanchep or the hills beyond Mundaring, ask when you call. Whether we can take the job usually depends on its size and where the team is working that week, and we will tell you straight away.
Does it cost more to get a quote in an outer suburb?
No. The quote is free wherever you are in the Perth metro area, and we inspect before we quote. A job on the outer edge of the metro area can carry a travel component. If it does, it goes on the written quote up front, not on the day, so you can compare it fairly.
How soon can you get to my suburb?
Same day where possible. The first wet weeks of winter, from about June, are the busiest time of year, so if water is coming into the house say so when you call and we will treat it as urgent. Tell us your suburb and we will give you a realistic time rather than a guess.
